William (“Bill”) Doyle is the founder and President of Doyle APC and is licensed to practice law in California and Washington. Since 1998, Mr. Doyle has focused on representing individuals in class action and mass injury litigation involving defective products, securities fraud, consumer fraud, internet privacy, prescription drugs, and faulty medical devices.
Mr. Doyle has served as lead counsel in national class actions and MDL litigations against Apple, LG, Honda, Sony, Amazon, the New York Stock Exchange, and other Fortune 500 companies.
In 2008, Mr. Doyle co-founded and served as managing partner of Doyle Lowther LLP, a national class action law firm. He previously worked as an attorney and partner in the nation’s largest class action law firm.
Courts nationwide have appointed Mr. Doyle as lead or co-lead counsel in numerous class actions and complex multi-district litigations. Mr. Doyle represented the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) as lead counsel in the NYSE securities litigation. In the TransUnion credit report litigation, Mr. Doyle served as co-lead counsel and certified a statutory damages class action of over 9 million Illinois consumers. He obtained a nationwide settlement valued at over $100 million. In the NVIDIA products liability litigation, Mr. Doyle served as co-lead counsel and helped achieve a class action settlement valued at over $500 million.
Mr. Doyle has represented clients in numerous mass tort injury litigations, including pelvic surgical mesh, DePuy hip implants, Mirena IUD, Avandia, hernia surgical mesh, mesothelioma, and asbestos lung cancer. In the San Diego wildfire litigation, Mr. Doyle’s firm was one of several firms that operated as de facto lead counsel in prosecuting the liability case against SDG&E. In the pelvic mesh litigations, Mr. Doyle served in a leadership position for the Cook MDL and managed the prosecution of hundreds of individual cases.
Mr. Doyle also served as lead or co-lead counsel in a series of landmark Internet privacy cases. These cases achieved important new privacy protections for online consumers, established new legal precedents for applying federal statutes to Internet communications, and certified the first nationwide class for Internet privacy claims.
Mr. Doyle graduated from the University of San Diego with an undergraduate degree in economics. Mr. Doyle earned his law degree in 1996 from the California Western School of Law.
Mr. Doyle is admitted to practice in state and federal courts throughout California, Washington D.C., and the United States Court of Appeals for the First, Second, and Ninth Circuits.
Mr. Doyle is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the State Bars of California and Washington D.C., the San Diego County Bar Association, and the National Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Doyle also served on the board of directors for the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and was a San Diego County Bar Foundation director.
